Spinach Fatayer

  • Dough 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cups water
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ kg fresh spinach
  • ½ cup emon juice
  • 3 large onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate juice

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the dough. Cut off spinach Leaves stems and tips and mince finely. Rinse spinach untill clean. Squeeze Leaves manually to elliminate water. Mix Chopped onions with salt and sumac. Rub Spinach with salt and add to onion mixture. Pour vegetable oil and pomegranatejuice on Mixture.
  2. Spread the dough with a rolling pin to a 4 Mm thickness. Use coffee cup to cut-off small Circles of dough. Place a tablespoonful of Spinach stuffing on each circle of dough. Wrap up sides in a triangle shape. Use cooking Oil spray to grease oven tray. Cook in oven at 300°C for 30 minutes. Nutritional Value per Piece 38 calories 1.2g fat 28% fat
